Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2025
These terms govern your access to and use of the GAIT platform operated by GAIT Digital Ltd (“GAIT”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a GAIT account. Trainer (physiotherapist) accounts are intended for qualified equine health professionals. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Subscriptions and billing
GAIT Physio (trainer accounts) is offered on a monthly or annual subscription after a 66-day free trial. GAIT Groundwork (horse owner accounts) is offered on a monthly subscription after a 7-day free trial. Subscriptions are billed in advance via Stripe. All prices are listed inclusive of VAT where applicable. You may cancel at any time and your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
Free trials
New trainer accounts receive a 66-day free trial with access to all features. No payment method is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period you will need to subscribe to continue using the platform. We reserve the right to modify trial lengths or eligibility at any time.
Acceptable use
You may use GAIT only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not use the platform to upload content that infringes intellectual property rights, is harmful, abusive, or unlawful, or to impersonate another person or organisation. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you upload to GAIT (exercise plans, descriptions, client notes). By uploading content you grant GAIT a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host and display it for the purpose of delivering the platform to you and your clients. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you upload.
Our content and intellectual property
The GAIT platform, including its software, design, and exercise library, is owned by GAIT Digital Ltd and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform without our prior written consent.
Professional responsibility
GAIT is a tool to assist equine physiotherapists in communicating exercise plans to clients. It does not constitute veterinary or medical advice. Trainers are solely responsible for the clinical appropriateness of the plans they create and assign. GAIT makes no representations or warranties about the fitness of any exercise for a specific horse.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GAIT Digital Ltd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the platform. Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these terms will not exceed the amounts you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the platform (with reasonable notice). On termination your right to use the platform ceases immediately.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
